Spectral Measurement Services – Fluorescence

Fluorescence Excitation and Emission spectra can be recorded using the Perkin Elmer LS55 Luminescence Spectrometer. Solids, powders and non toxic liquids can be analyzed. The Optical Reference Laboratory does not have facilities for handling organic solvents or other hazardous materials. The spectra shown below are from ovalene embedded in a test block.

The excitation spectrum of ovalene was taken with the emission wavelength of 480 nm. For the emission spectrum, the excitation wavelength was 344 nm.
